Carnet Level Up

Level after level, up to the Moon.

The app

Carnet Level Up tracks your Level Up games, round after round. At the end of each round, say who emptied their hand and who completed their level: the app moves everyone up and reminds you of each player’s combination, who deals and who can win. The game live on your Lock Screen, the first to the Moon celebrated, and your table’s all-time leaderboard.

No account, no ads, no data collected. The leaderboard and player profiles are part of Carnet Level Up+, a one-time purchase.

Frequently asked questions

How does the app move players up?

Just like the rulebook. Whoever emptied their hand clears two levels at once (the one they completed and the next). Every other player who completed their level clears one. The others try the same level again next round. There are no points: the app tracks everyone’s level and counts their tries.

What if the draw pile runs out?

A round also ends when the draw pile runs out. When entering the round, tap “Pile ran out”: nobody emptied their hand, and those who completed their level clear one. The app then asks who played last, because they deal the next round.

Who wins?

The first to clear level 8 reaches the Moon and wins. If several players clear it in the same round, the one who emptied their hand wins; otherwise, they tie. The “Can win” tag shows who can finish next round.

Who deals?

You pick the first dealer when you create the game. After that, the rule: the dealer is whoever just played, that is, the player who emptied their hand, or the last to play if the draw pile ran out. The player on their left goes first. The table reminds you.

The 8 levels
  1. Three of a kind and a run of 4 cards
  2. A run of 4 cards and 4 cards of one color
  3. Two sets of three of a kind and a pair
  4. Three of a kind and a run of 5 cards
  5. Three of a kind and 5 cards of one color
  6. A run of 7 cards
  7. 7 cards of one color
  8. Four of a kind and three of a kind
I made a mistake in a round

In the game, tap “…” then “Correct a round”. Once the game is over, tap the round in the list of rounds. Levels and standings are recalculated. If the correction makes someone reach the Moon earlier, the app tells you: the game ends in that round, as the rules say, and later rounds are deleted.

A player joins or leaves mid-game

Tap “…” then “Manage players”. The rules don’t cover this: a newcomer starts at the level of the last player at the table, with no head start and not left behind. A player who leaves keeps their rounds in the history but leaves the game’s standings.

What about the quick variant?

In the rulebook’s variant, all levels are face up and everyone picks which one to try. The app follows the classic rules: levels in order, from 1 to 8.

The game doesn’t show on my Lock Screen

Check Settings › Carnet Level Up › Live Activities. The game shows while a game in progress is open in the app; it goes away when you pause it.

Where are my games stored?

Only on your iPhone. They don’t sync between devices, and deleting the app erases them. See the privacy policy.
